It's their airline that is for sale.
The actual travel company is ok.
Says:
"What about passengers?
"Since a number of investors have shown an interest in Thomas Cook's airline operations, it is likely the group will successfully sell them off. At that point, chances are, your tickets should be honored by the acquiring group. Whether it be Lufthansa, Virgin Atlantic, or a private holding company, they will likely keep your vacation plan intact."
Why would you be scared? Concerned, perhaps but certainly not scared.

Even if they do fail, your tickets will most likely be honored by other carriers.
- Should I be scared coming home at 12:00 am? I'm catching Lyft from the airport and I'll be coming home alone at 12:00 am maybe 12:45 am should I be afraid?
- I'm travelling with a 7mo baby on a overseas flight (BA). Anyone who has done it before could you give advise over what went right and wrong? What are the packing items I need to bring with me. Taking in consideration that the airline allows a bag for the baby but with size and weigh restrictions, and bearing in mind that it is a over 12 hrs flight
- How do people know where to find information about when and on which airport K-Pop idols are gonna have a flight? I'd love to meet blackpink at the airport when they're gonna have a flight from Berlin to Paris (concert in Berlin is 24.05 and in Paris 26.05) but I have no idea if I can check somehow when and where I should wait?
- Why are airline sales prices more expensive coming home than going to an destination? Its more expensive to come home from vacation than traveling to a destination with airlines why is that so
