Yes. But as eatbabyseals posted, its not going to be simple. However, there are crashpads at base cities for those that want to do what you propose
I don't think that is a realistic option, Delta's main hubs are not close to San Antonio, so unless as suggested you want to live out of a suitcase in some grotty crash pad, I would look at alternatives, united has a major hub at Houston, that is a doable driving commute, that leaves you living where you are and travelling 3-4 times a week maybe less around 350 miles round trip.
You can be based in 1 city but live somewhere else. It is your job though to make sure you show up to where you need to be in order to start your flight. I have a friend who is based in Anchorage but used to come home to Cincinnati. He would then try to find flights back to Anchorage on the company's aircraft. If he couldn't then he would not come home to his family. So it is technically possible, but it can be difficult at times.
It is possible? Yes it is. It is recommended? No. There would be many circumstances in which you would have to get up super early to travel to your base, maybe even going the night before. Not saying not to become a flight attendant, but maybe look into other airlines.
- Do you need to wear a suit for a video interview for Delta airlines flight attendant? So I applied for flight attendant position and got invited to do a video interview. Just want to know if anyone who has done this video interview for flight attendant before if you need to wear a suit for it or is that only for the one on one interview?
- Is there any way that I can hire someone to force the San Antonio International Airport to permanently shut down? I need to stop having my ears, heart, and mind blown out by the extremely loud, low-flying planes that practically hit my roof every minute (including in the middle of the night when I'm trying to sleep)!
- If I brought a flight to Bolivia but end up not flying will Bolivia know about this and will this affect me if I try to visit again? I didn't go to the airport since I had an family emergency I didn't apply for a Visa or anything
- Do I need to have a passport to travel from Harlingen, Texas to Chicago, Illinois? I'm 18 years old and i have a drivers permit, which is my only form of identification but it's expired. (Looks just like a normal Texas ID) but just to be safe, i'm going to get an official Texas ID. But would that be good for identification at the airport? Or do i still need a Passport?
