What US Airlines still handles/accepts/takes 700 series Dog Crates in cargo?

Before I get into details, DO NOT bother bringing up pets dying in cargo or "you should register them as your ESA. I'm NOT A SYSTEM ABUSER AND DO NOT NEED ONE. So do not even bring it up. Airlines fly over 1 million pets annually and rarely have an incident.

I'm needing to travel with two dogs. Both are too big to fly in the cabin with me. One I'm having no problem with since she fits a 500 series plastic IATA approved kennel within international regulations. My problem is that most airlines do not take the 700 series. What airline still takes the 700 series dog travel kennels?

You need to ask any airline you are thinking of flying with as their policies are subject to change and may vary with the type of aircraft, the duration of the flight and the route taken.

You asked this before, and as before you said 'Most airlines do not take the 700 series'. This suggests that some airlines DO take them, otherwise surely you would say 'No airlines take them.

Don't ask us. Ask for advice from the airline that you want your dogs to fly with. Horses can be carried: I can't imagine your dog is bigger than a horse. Please tell us exactly what the problem is.

Quick 5min search Ametican Airlines Cargo confirm they will transport 700 size crates.

Not sure why you can't do your own research!

Depending on your itinerary, you might want to consider Air Transat of Canada. Their web page on pet travel includes information on kennels, including links to providers of various sizes, including the 700 series.

I can't say that they actually accept the 700, but they do at least reference it. Transat is widely known by Canadians living in Mexico, as they are apparently very accommodating of dogs and cats. There are organizations in Mexico that transfer cats and dogs to Canada (Edmonton and Calgary, in particular), where they are placed for adoption. They solicit Canadian volunteers to travel with the animals.

Canadian airlines, in general, appear not to have added the restrictions on pet travel that we're seeing in the US. You should also contact WestJet and Air Canada, if any of their routes would suit your itinerary.

You want to go from the East Coast of the USA to HAWAII
What point is there in telling you about the Airline in Europe or Asia that takes larger Kennels.

American Airlines 700 series kennels or smaller are accepted on 757 aircraft. Do you expect everyone to know what plane is used for your particular destination.

Contact a Pet shipping Agency. It is unfortunate that your dog is TOO LARGE for most to deal with.
there are special planes used to transport larger animals. They fly horses from place to place.

You most likely will not find a Passenger Arline that will take Fido as Luggage. Contact the Cargo departments about your large LIVE Cargo requirements. It will not be cheap.

You are correct MOST will not accept the 700 series kennels. If you have found one then that is your choice to use.
There are not hundreds of Airlines that offer live cargo service to Hawaii.

As you are military suggest you investigate further on ways to ship Fido at a time before or after your flight.

Try this place as your destination is Hawaii

They fly out of Los Angeles a plane that can carry horses.

That FIDO travels from YOUR home to LAX by truck is a separate issue you may need to deal with.

You are not making it easy to help you. The EAST coast is thousands of miles and dozens of Airports.

Airlines fly over 1 million pets annually and rarely have an incident. TRUE and they also refuse travel to many pets, size of kennel, the weather and if the plane has the required stuff in its cargo section for LIVE Cargo.
Get over it. Every plane can't take your dog. There are some.

Expect your Fido to go by ground transport across the country to board his flight out of LAX.

There are many ground transporters that do loops around the country dropping of and picking up dogs, and some are relatively inexpensive. When investigating these services make sure the company is a registered USDA intermediate handler, and is properly insured. Note that moves are done on their schedules, not your timetable, and you pets will be exposed to multiple other pets travelling in the same vehicle.

A personal individual ground shipment of just one pet will be quite costly, probably more than the air travel would have been, often running $3.00-3.50 per mile, round trip for the vehicle.

Before I get into details, DO NOT EXPECT an answer to a generic shipping dog from A to B question.
I have a list of hundred pet shippers. No point in listing them all if they are not near you.

Pet Transport Companies specialize in this USE ONE they have done the research. Be prepared for a many day shipping process.

I have provided you the contact information for one in Hawaii and two on the east Coast near the middle.

Suggest you use a service that has been around for decades. They have done the research and know which Airlines to use.
