Can I upgrade to first class with my many many points?
I have a main cabin ticket on American Airlines issued by a tour company. Is there a mechanism that I can use to sacrifice my many flight points to get a first class seat? I do not have a gold status.

As long as there's availability, yes you can. To upgrade, you just need to contact American Airlines.
Maybe - the ticket you purchased from the tour company may have restrictions. Only way to tell is to call AA
Possibly. You need to contact the airline to do it anyway, so you may as well contact them to see if it's possible. Some tickets are restricted and can't be upgraded though.
- Using Amex Points to Travel? So I've been using Amex Gold Card for some time now, I have accumulated a little over 200k points. I know that the best way to get the best value out of them is to Transfer them to loyalty program for an airline. So I've been wanting to travel from LAX to Lebanon. However, I just feel like I'm not getting the best value after checking the net ammount of points needed to travel through etihad airlines. I was wondering if there's another option I can look at.
- Plane ticket has first, middle and last name but my passport only has first and last name? I'm flying Scandinavian Airlines and my plane ticket has my first, middle, and last name but my passport only has my first and last name. Does anyone have any experience with this or think it will be an issue? I called the travel agency and they told me they could not do anything to correct the middle name. I was also thinking about bringing another form of ID like a birth certificate or social security card to be safe.
- First time booking through trip.com and my flights are with Scoot and Cebu Pacific Airlines. I'm unsure where I can checkin and put add ons? Is there an option to check in and add some add ons through trip.com or directly with Scoot and Ceb Pac? However, I tried managing my bookings separately on their respective websites but they both say they can't find my booking or whatever… My flight is still in a month but I d like to worry about it now than when it's nearer and I doubt they won't appear there because I've had flights before that I was able to add to my manage bookings months ahead.
- What is difference between an Economy ticket & first class airline ticket? A seats a seat at the end of the day. A 5 hour plane journey is still a 5 hour plabe journey. How does your life improve of you spend £5,000 more than everyone else on a 5hour plane journey?
