Do Cabin Crew mind if guests ask for photos?
My friend and I are planning a year of travel from Australia within the next few years (Singapore, USA, Canada, Iceland, South America & South Africa) and I was wondering if Cabin crew mind being asked for a photo with us at the end of the flight?!
Sounds silly, but we want to document our trip and try to get a photo of all our Cabin Crews who became part of our adventure.
So if anyone works for an airline lemme know thanks.
Thanks heaps.
Added (1). Do Cabin Crew/Flight Attendants mind if they are asked for photos
They don't normally mind, provided they're not busy. Tell them early on in your flight and they'll pose for you when they have time to spare.
It depends on the company. Some are required to say no due to company policy, others will say no if they are very busy.
If you ask at the end of the flight, they will always say no, because they are super busy.
If you want a photo with them, ask nicely when you are in the air. They will have more time to chat with you and help you get good photos, and you won't be keeping them from doing other things they need to do.
Ask them. Probably fine, except if all 280 passengers want the same thing. The people at the back wouldn't get off the plane for an hour.
Believe it or not Airline flight crew are individual humans, Some like their photos taken and some do not.
ASK and respect their answers. They are at work at the end of their work day. THEY WANT TO GET DONE what they need to do so they can go home, go to their hotel or whatever.
The entire planet's population is not into documenting YOUR adventures.
Do you expect them to just hang around while the entire plane stops to have their pictures taken. Other passengers want off the plane while YOU hold everyone else up taking your frivolous picture.
ASK? For many reasons some do not want their photo spread around the planet on the internet or linked to you on some obscure site with bad intentions. Data miners are constantly searching for things to embarrass or compromise others.
So you also want the photos of your bus driver, taxi driver, train conductor, waitress, bartender, tour guide, hotel maid, hotel porter, desk clerk, street vendor, cashier,… Too.
Are you planing to write a book and publish these photos?
Enjoy your adventure sounds exciting. Everyone in the world is not thrilled to be in YOUR family movie. Hopefully you will experience things not through the camera lens too.
You may certainly ask but not all crew will oblige. But definitely ask first. However, if a crew member asks you not to take photos onboard, do not argue and stop
They love it! They are flattered if you ask.
Santa's wife
You can ask - some might oblige, some won't.
Most don't mind. Just politely ask. I have seen a number of people post pictures with flight attendants.
- Help with photos of Gatwick from 2002-2004? It's when my partners grandad would take him to the airports and it's heartbreaking for him that he never managed to recover any images of the terminals back in those times.
- Do you know why some stores at airport ask for boarding pass? Do you know why some stores at airport ask for boarding pass when buying stuff even chocolates, candies or foods? That happened to me when I was in Amsterdam airport.
- Can i take over 100ml bottle in Ryan air priority+ 2 cabin bags? I'm going to France with Ryanair tomorrow, I have priority + 2 cabin bags I know normally you can only have 100ml in your hand lugguage but since the second bag is bigger can I take over 100ml bottles in that one?
- Why do flight attendants hate it when you ask for no ice in your complimentary drink? I've asked for no ice a couple of times and I always get a death stare from the flight attendants. Is it because they don't normally pour in the whole can into the cup and it saves the airline money? I always feel really bad because I don't want to be one of those annoying customers…
