Who thinks it's rude for a TSA agent to give an attitude just because you showed your ticket to the agent doing bags while unsure what to do?

This happened to me while I was going through TSA while headed to my flight.

If a person is going through airport security checkpoint assuming they must show their airline ticket to the TSA agent(s) and that TSA agent who's putting luggage through responds by saying "I see your ticket, what do you want me to do?" in a mouthy tone with an attitude, it seems like they're trying to make one feel stupid for just being unsure on exactly what to do while going through the screening checkpoint. I feel they should just simply help people who are unsure of anything instead of giving them an attitude like that. Thoughts?

It's a very boring repetitious job. Some people don't handle it very well, just like you need to handle people treating like you're not special. The fact that this event is still bothering you unless it happened within the past several hours is an indication that you are far more sensitive than you ought to be. Someone saying " I'm sorry sir you do not need to show me your ticket " isn't going to change that!

My thought is quit being so whiny about it

David B is correct - its a repetitious job and its worse when clueless people make assumptions. Like you did. Just remember - those agents with the attitude have the power to detain you and make you miss your flight and there's not a damn thing you can do

As the famous Elsa of Erendelle once sang - "Let it go"

They aren't trying to make you feel stupid. Their job is not an easy one or a fun one; they might not always be the friendliest as a result, but they're just trying to get the job done efficiently. Could they have been nicer? Sure. Were they trying to make you feel stupid or embarrassed? Doubtful.

TSA agents are not in a customer service position. They are not there to help you- they are there to stop people from taking weapons on flights. Some are just naturally friendly people and some aren't. I've heard much worse stories. Get over it.

>Thoughts?

Just how long were you intending to whine about it? We have stuff to do, you seeā€¦
