If you never leave the International Hub of an airport no, you might need a transit visa if you have to leave from one airport to another for your connecting flight, but CONTACT your airline and ask them, they will give you the best and most correct answer.

Nope. You just can't leave the terminal to sample any Beijing Duck.

  • Do I need a visa when traveling to Beijing? I have an 11 hour layover in Beijing while traveling to southeast Asia and I was wondering if I needed a visa in order to just leave the airport for a few hours to get some food/walk around a bit. Any info would be helpful!
  • Is this photo taken in an area in Hong Kong international airport or some other country? An online friend is claiming she missed her flight and needs 700.00 to complete her flight however I'm doubting she is in hong kong She claims she is flying to my home city to start a job there once she arrives
  • Do I need a visa to connect in Shenzen, China? I'm traveling to Thailand in October from Chicago. On the way back to Chicago I'm flying from Bangkok to Chicago with a 4 hour stop to connect in Shenzen, China. All the information online seems to be all over the place on whether I need a visa to connect for my flight in Shenzen. Some say yes, some say no, some say a VOA and some say this particular airport has rules different from other airports in China.
  • Why didn't more planes crash at Hong Kong Kai Tak airport? It looked like a very dangerous airport with pilots having to fly close to mountains and high-rise buildings and making a sharp almost right angle turn to line with the runway manually. Why were there so few accidents and crashes? Why didn't more planes crash into the skyscrapers like on 9/11?
