Will airlines have a pilot shortage?
In usa will there not be enough pilots in the airlines
Will the pilot shortage be here a long time
Gotta know how to fly an airplane before you can be hired. They don't hire dummies off the street that don't know anything about flying. Not many people have that experience, nor the money to get a commercial airline training.
Flight training schools have been warning about the impending pilot shortage since 1945. I hasn't happened yet.
That's only a myth. Many people got their Commercial license and can't find a job in aviation. The idea of a pilot shortage is a long time myth.
Yes, but they only want pilots who can speak and read ENGLISH. Obviously, YOU don't qualify.
Yes. There's one Right Now. I will be worse in 5 years.

- What additional qualification should an airline pilot have? Aside from the licence and school/university education are there any other qualifications or courses that would set you apart from other candidates when applying for a job with an airline?
- Is there a shortage of airline pilots in the us and worldwide? If this happens will there be no planes taking off due to pilot shortage in the future Will there be no airplanes operating in the future due to pilot shortage because i like flying because i can reach my destination quicker. And flying is the safest form of travel
- Is becoming a regional airline pilot one of the few great jobs that you can have without a college degree? Many regional airlines don't require college degrees. Is becoming an E-170 or CRJ700 captain much better than working as a bus driver or a carpenter? You think sleeping at Motel 6s or Motel 8s and drinking that free coffee is bad? It would be a very nice treat for bus drivers or people with other jobs that they could find with no degree. I would be honored to sleep at Motel 6 or Motel 8 for free. At least it is much better than hostel or Airbnb.
