Is flying still safe?
I'm scared of going on a plane after what happened in Ethiopia I'm due to fly to Germany in 2 weeks time with Ryanair and I was wondering if it's still safe to fly? It's a Boeing 737 as well?
There are many different models of 737s. The one involved in the crash was a 737Max8. They have been grounded worldwide, so the only way you are going to be on one of them is if the safety reviews determine that there isn't a critical design flaw with the plane and they lift the flight ban on them, oh and you fly on a different airline because Ryanair doesn't fly the Max8.
Despite the tragic events, flying is still the safest form of travel. How many flights took off before this tragedy and how many flew afterwards without an issue? Thousands of flights got to the final destination safely.
It was only 2 out of 350 planes. No biggie
You have a higher chance of dying in a car accident on the way to the store than in a plane crash.
The crash of the Ethiopian jet was 3 days ago. Since then, there have been approximately 300,000 flights around the world that have happened without incident. Ryanair doesn't even fly the Max8 jets so they are not affected by any sort of grounding.
In that same time, approximately 9,000 people have died in car accidents in the US alone, not including the ones that were just injured.
So yes it is still safe to fly, in fact it is still safer to fly than it is to drive based on the statistics.
Yes.
Ryanair have a good safety record and don't operated the B737Max8 type of aircraft, so there should be no issue with your flight, and it's still the safest form of transport.
YES IT IS SAFE.
On 10 November 2008, Ryanair Flight 4102, from Frankfurt-Hahn Airport, suffered undercarriage damage in an emergency landing at Rome-Ciampino Airport Two crew members and eight passengers were taken to hospital with minor injuries
The aircraft involved was damaged beyond repair and was scrapped.
Ryanair operates more than 400 Boeing 737-800 aircraft,
If read carefully they are not BOEING max 8 the current plane with issues.
Have a safe flight and vacation. Worry about getting a good meal of Schnitzel instead.
Yes I can use safety instrument
As long as you are not on the same flight as important political leaders, judges, or others with measurable amount of swag you should be alright. The auto pilot is convenient to blame for the supposed mishap. Just as it was when with the Polish government officials met their fate in the same manner several years prior.
- Is it safe for two planes to take off at the same time at the same airport? I was wondering because I was flying out of Guangzhou airport in China and I saw another plane on another runway take off almost at the same time we did (he was headed away from us though)
- Condor airlines: is it safe? We're flying with them for the first time via Frankfurt and read alot of bad reviews, not about safety but just service in general. Were prepared for the worst for that but are their planes safe?
- Is it safe for a 17 year old girl to travel to China alone? Hi so basically I'm going to China soon to visit my dad and my older brother was meant to be travelling with me but he is unable to go. So my question is, is China is it safe for me to travel to china by my self. I'll meet my dad at the airport in China but do you think it is safe for me to take the flight alone and go through customs and everything. I'm also getting a connecting flight. please tell my your opinion and if you have any advice
- How safe is flying on a major airline in the USA and are we do for a major plane crash since it has been 10 years since one in the USA? I feel like it is any time now. When I was a kid major plane crashes were once or twice a year. When I was 12 and my Mom's cousin died in one it was Valuejet in May and TWA 800 in July which was the one he and his son died on. I have been creeped out to fly ever since.
