My name is misspelt on my ID when booking a ticket for a plane, I didn't realize I didn't put my correct info until after I booked it?

My name on my ID is spelt chrisitan not Christian, it's not very noticeable but I'm curious should I go to the DMV or just have the airport change my name entirely? How much would it cost?

I don't think it would be an issue with the airport, if they even noticed, but I would definitely go to the DMV and get your ID corrected.

Well, you should have it changed on your ID, yes. It's never okay to have ID with an error like that. If you have time before you fly, then get that done because it needs to be done anyway.

Airlines generally don't allow name changes - some will allow it for a misspelling while others will not. Some charge a fee and others do not. But if you spelled your name correctly on the booking, then you should not ask them to change it to an incorrect spelling.

Family members of mine have had issues with a name having a slight misspelling from the ID. The airline required that the name be changed and of course there was a fee involved.

I would never risk showing up at the airport with a ticket name that does not match an ID. It might be possible to sneak by but you also could get screwed either out of money or possibly the flight altogether.

Do what needs to be done before you show up (i.e. Get your license fixed or change your ticket)

My name is misspelt on my ID.

Then you get you ID corrected. The entire world does not charge the same price for replacement. Maybe you can say what part of the planet you are maybe the name of your state?

AIRLINE can change your reservation. They CAN charge a fee.

You MIGHT pass security. You might not and the Airline does not need to refund or rebook you.

The Airline can change to what is on your ID.

COMPUTERS spot spelling mistakes much easier than the human does. One REASON they SCAN your stuff.

What is your 'ID' you cretin? You mean your passport? Or what. No you will not get on a plane with a dodgy set of papers.
