I know three people who had strokes shortly after flights, is flying more dangerous than we're lead to believe by the airline industry?

I know people that had a stoke walking around the block and one getting a late night snack in their kitchen.

It is not more dangerous but there are things to minimize getting sick and preventing strokes and blood clots. People should inquire with their doctor if they are healthy enough to travel. If they are, while on the plane, get up and move around on the plane. Sitting for an extended period of time is not good. Stay hydrated helps as well.

It's rare, but it can happen. If you are on a long flight, you should get up and move around every 2 or 3 hours.
