Can I visit the uk at 15 years old?
I'm a US citizen and In May i plan on visiting my girlfriend that lives in the UK. I will be flying alone and will be staying with her. She lives with her parents and they have agreed to let me visit. My mom has also agreed to let me go. How long will i be able to stay in the uk and will they let me through border control at the airport? ( I'm going to get my passport and all the papers I need before I leave )
Yes. You'll need to have a notarized letter signed by your parents (both of them) giving you permission to fly. Check with the airline you're going to fly- I believe you're old enough not to have to fly as an unaccompanied minor.
When my sister went to Japan as a teen, I'm pretty sure the airline had someone watching over her. Call the airport and ensure that minors can fly alone. Don't assume.
- Do I Need A Letter Of Consent To Fly Internationally? (17 Years Old)? I'm 17 Years old and planning to fly to England. I would purchase my own tickets, and also would have family greeting me in England. Would i need a Letter of Consent to fly? The Airline i would be traveling with has Young Adults set as (12-15) So i would pass there. Thanks for your help! I'm a UK Citizen, and also an American Citizen.
- Can a 13 year old travel over seas without The accompanied minor form, or would the airports stop me? I'm 13, flying to albania. I want to use Norwegian airlines they say that 12-15 year olds don't need the unapomponied minor form but I don't want to end up stuck anywhere. Does anyone know if the airports would stop me from boarding the flights?
- Never been on a plane but parents want me to fly solo to Washington to visit grandparents? My grandparents' 50th anniversary is coming up. Neither of my parents could get time off to visit, so they want to send me on a plane, by myself, from NY to Washington (state). The issue is that I've never once been on a plane, or even set foot in an airport, for that matter. I've voiced concerns about this with my parents but they don't care and say I'm going whether I like it or not. I'm 14 please help!
- Can my friend enter the international part of the airport on my layover so I can visit him? I have a 5 hour layover in fort lauderdale coming from out of the country and I want to visit my friend who lives there at the airport bar. Should I exit through customs or can he come in if he doesn't have a ticket anywhere?
