How do I become a pilot for an airline in Australia? (15 Years Old)?
For a while now, I've wanted to become a pilot for an airline. I've seen cadet programs for Jetstar, Virgin and Qantas. When I look around, some websites say "You need a Private Pilot License to get your Commercial Pilot License", and the others say you can just go for it and get a Diploma of Aviation.
Can someone explain how I can get a pilots license? I'm not from a "well-off" family, so I don't want debt from getting my Private Pilot License on top of a Commercial Pilot License.
I'm in an air-league which is the first step I've taken to becoming a pilot. I'm 15 years old.
Royal Australian Air Force or Navy pilot training. But you must meet the minimum requirements, and be at the top of your class in both school and in military schools.
There might be training programs for military for students in secondary and university years.
Commercial pilot training has requirement of at least a pilot's license and a number of hours of flight time logged, at least in the USA.
What classes would I need to be top at?
- Can I still become an airline pilot? So, I'm 5ft and I wear glasses, but my prescription is very low, as in +0.25 and +0.5. I was told to be a pilot you need to be 5ft 2 at least, and you need perfect vision. Is this true?
- What do I really need to become a pilot and work for an airline? Really, all aviation programs are extremely complicated to understand. Do I need a CPL? A bachelors degree? How does one become a pilot and work for an airline?
