For 2 days, my opinion is that you're better off flying. That's a LONG *** TIME to be in a car!
How is driving 0 aggravation:
- traffic, hotel issues, food issues, tried of being in the car issues.
TSA aggravation takes about 20 minutes…
Not the same kind of aggravation but driving has much more aggravation for a longer period of time.
Sorry, but that is a choice only you can make.
What is the difference between the cost to drive (gas, meals, hotel both ways) and flying?
Really! Would you seriously opt to drive for to days, than take a flight lasting a couple of hours? Apart from the fact driving is not 0 aggravation, costs are going to rack up, you'll need at least one night in a hotel, gas, food, etc. And you eat in to your time off.
Fly. It's much faster and easier.
I think it depends. Some people don't mind driving and enjoy it. It does take a long time, but at least you have your own car with you and don't have to rent a car. However with flying, it should only take about 3 hours to get to FL depending on if it is a non-stop flight and what airport you are flying from and to. I would fly, especially if you can find a cheap ticket.
It sounds like you already made up your mind by the format of your question. You obviously feel that driving for 2 days is better than the aggravation caused by the airlines and TSA. So if you have the time to do this, drive and make it a good road trip.
Personally I prefer to drive than fly when ever possible, but when you get into a distance that is going to take you more than a day, flying starts to have several advantages. So if you are on a limited schedule or you think your car may not be able to handle it you will probably find flying a better choice over all.
Depends whether you're prepared for those two days to be part of the fun. If so, take your time, stop and look at interesting sites, enjoy good meals, book into a nice hotel.
If all you care about is getting there, then flying is obviously better.
- I'm on orders to be stationed in Alaska. Can I drive through Canada with a Pitbull/ bully breed? Okay, I'm being stationed in Alaska. I know pit bulls /bully breeds are band in Canada… Is there anyway I can driver through with my dogs If I have my orders / passport/ all their (dogs) health records and what nots in hand?! I would fly them but it will be too cold when I move and airlines won't allow it when it's 30 below
- I just volunteered to give my seat up for a travel voucher. Do I even need to show up to original flight? I can drive home in rental? I volunteered my seat upon check in for my flight with united from Chicago to Cincinnati. I could easily drive there and make it back to Cincinnati faster than my original flight in my rental. Do I need to be present at the airport for my original flight to redeem the travel voucher?
- Travel - fly or drive? Cleveland to Cincinnati? Travel - fly or drive? Cleveland to Cincinnati. On google maps it looks like about a 4 hour drive. Would you rather drive fours or fly 50 minutes but have to deal with TSA and showing up early at the airport and waiting around and being a crowded airplane with people coughing and sneezing?
- TSA and underage vaping? I bought a Juul because I felt it would be least noticeable around TSA and the person I'm visiting. I plan to follow all rules reguarding e-cigarettes, but I'm just wondering if TSA will notice I'm underage, and what steps they would take after, if not just throwing away the Juul. Has any teen here brought vapes or cigarettes to an airline?
