Overnight layover in Japan without visa I'm a Philippine passport holder?
I'm travelling from Canada to Manila via Haneda Airport in Japan, do i need visa for an overnight layover?
Call the airline you're flying on or call the Japanese consulate nearest to where you are.
Check with the airline. In some situations if you're not leaving the secured part of the airport you don't need a transit visa. If you're planning to leave the airport and stay in a hotel though you surely would.
As long as you stay airside you will not need a visa.

- Do I need a visa to connect in Shenzen, China? I'm traveling to Thailand in October from Chicago. On the way back to Chicago I'm flying from Bangkok to Chicago with a 4 hour stop to connect in Shenzen, China. All the information online seems to be all over the place on whether I need a visa to connect for my flight in Shenzen. Some say yes, some say no, some say a VOA and some say this particular airport has rules different from other airports in China.
- Bus IC Cards in Japan? Hi! I'm planning to go to Japan at the end of the year, and want to plan everything out first. I would like to know which kind of IC card to use if I want to get on a bus from Kansai Airport to USJ in Osaka as well as Kyoto. I looked up the cards, and there seem to be so many to choose from. Which card is suitable for travelling by bus in these places. And if you can, maybe explain how the busses work? Is there english in the signs?
