When you book flight online, what do you do when you first arrive at the airport?
If you already have obtained your boarding pass, and don't need to check luggage, you can go straight to the airport security line.
If you do not have your boarding pass and/or need to check baggage you go to the airline counter. Once you have obtained your boarding pass and checked your luggage you can then proceed to security.
For online airline reservations you can generally obtain your boarding pass online 24 hours before flight departure.
If you have checked in online (which is not the same as booking online) and you do not have bags to check, then you can go straight to security. If you have checked in online and you do have bags to check, then you need to go to the airline counter/baggage drop before security. If you have not checked in online, then you need to go to the airline counter or kiosk to check in and get your boarding pass.
Depends. Do you have a bag to check. If it is southwest airlines, and I do not have bag to check, I just go to the gate. If it is American, at the airport in my town, I go to the Kiosk to get a boarding pass and arrange to check my bag.
If I have not printed out my boarding pass, then I go to the kiosk to check-in. If I have checked bags, then I will go to the ticket counter and check my bags. If I have my boarding pass and have no checked bags, then I go straight to security and then onto my gate.
Check your luggage
Grab a beer.
I have already checked in online using the airline's app
I always check in and get my boarding pass
If you haven't already printed your boarding pass, you go to the airline ticketing area to get your boarding pass; you can also drop off any checked luggage there. Then you go through security to get to the gate for your flight. If you already have a boarding pass and don't have luggage to check in, you can go directly to security when you get to the airport.
Whether you book your flight online or from a desk/agency, you have first to check-in.
Whether you book your flight online or from a desk/agency, you may check-in online (if the airlines has such a facility) or at the check-in desk of the airport.
If you have checked-in online (and got your boarding pass), you have still to drop first your checked luggage in the check-in area.
If you have checked-in online and have only a hand luggage, you proceed directly to security controls.

It's the same for all bookings. If you've checked in online and have your boarding pass and no checked luggage, you can head straight for the security line, and go through to departures, if you have checked luggage and no boarding pass, then it's the normal checkin line, and if you've checked in online, bug have checked luggage, you would head for bag drop and then security.
- Do I have to check in online for a flight or can I still do it at the airport? Cause their system is not working. I just want to check in at the airport… But I won't have my boarding passes then before I get there.
- First and Middle name joined on plane ticket online? I'm a first time flyer. Someone purchased a plane ticket from Delta online, he gave me the confirmation code to log in as a guest and I did with my first and last name. I checked on the flight details that my first and middle name are joined together. Will that be a issue when I get to the airport to show my ID?
- Why do some people who book Frontier wait till they get to the airport to pay for checkin luggage when it's more than when you pay online? Like you have a small fee online. If you wait till you're at the airport it's a bigger fee. Are these people irrational?
- Plane ticket has first, middle and last name but my passport only has first and last name? I'm flying Scandinavian Airlines and my plane ticket has my first, middle, and last name but my passport only has my first and last name. Does anyone have any experience with this or think it will be an issue? I called the travel agency and they told me they could not do anything to correct the middle name. I was also thinking about bringing another form of ID like a birth certificate or social security card to be safe.
