Are there any airlines that let 18-year-olds be flight attendants?
Are there any airlines that let 18-year-olds be flight attendants?
Added (1). Yes, I'm aware of what the job entails.
No. You serve liqour _ that is the very superficial reason. You are responsible for everyone's physical safety. The ten thousand things you must think of as an attendant, do not fit in an 18 year old brain. What you THINK you can do at that age is usually inflated. So apply when you are 21. Learn what this position Really entails.
, I'm aware of what the job entails.
Really you are and which part of underage liquor service is part of the job.
Suggest you look into the smaller charter Airlines that do not have liquor service on their flights.
When you have a few more Birthdays you move up to the bigger planes with a few years of experience on your application.
Of course there's absolutely no interest in getting your foot in the door at one of the other 200 jobs at Airports and Airlines that are not involved with age restrictions like alcohol rules. When older you as an employee are transferring to the next position First chance is usually given to current employees before they hire new ones.
As you as so aware of the job I assume you also know an estimated 100 apply for each flight attendant position.
What makes YOU a better candidate than about 90 others to at least be interviewed?
I sure hope not. Flight attendants' main job is cabin and passenger safety It takes a level of maturity which 99% of 18 year olds don't possess.
Probably not. Flight attendants serve alcohol and usually you have to be 21 for that type of service.
- What are the least demanding international airlines when hiring flight attendants (female)? I'm somewhat short (1,55m or 5'1ft) and have 6 tattoos (although only one is visible, a small one below my neck in my back but usually the scarf we flight attendants use hide it) so I'd like to know which airlines worldwide care less about those "shortcomings" when planning to hire a female flight attendant.
- Which airline companies pay their future flight attendants during their training, and which airline companies are unionized? I also wanted to know which airline companies pay their future flight attendants during their training time, as well as which ones pay for their housing whether it be at a hotel somewhere or not. And which airline companies pay their flight attendants the best and treat their employees the best?
- Traveling with a 1 year old baby on Air Asia A330. Any suggestions? Is my first time traveling with a baby and traveling with this low budget airline. I'm flying to Japan so is about 9 hrs direct flight. Should I ask for a bassinet? Does babies need ear protection? Going with my husband and inlow.
- What language do flight attendants usually speak on worldwide flights? Like if you work for an airline and fly from Germany to England or vice versa would you have to speak English or German?
