What are allegiant air's luggage restrictions for their flights?
Long story short, you can carry one one personal item for free like a purse, murse, briefcase or small backpack that must go under the seat in front of you. You must pay to put a carryon item in the overhead or to check a bag. Like other discount carriers, the fees are less if you pay for them when you book your ticket. If you wait until you get to the airport and or gate, the fees go way up. Visit allegiant's website for a full rundown of the potential fees
Baggage info is provided at that link.
A few things to be aware of:
(1) Allegiant considers anything over 40 lbs to be overweight for checked baggage and therefore subject to an overweight fee (the industry standard is 50 lbs).
(2) Allegiant charges more for the bags the longer you wait to pay for them. It is cheapest to pay at booking; it is most expensive to pay at the gate (for carry-on bags, if it comes to that).
(3) Allegiant is very particular about the acceptable size for a free personal item. If your bag is larger, you may be charged for a carry-on at the gate ($50).

- Do passenger air jets fly over the North Pole often on their way to other side of world (Ex. China) from North America? Was watching a documentary where someone left Canada on a passenger jet and they showed the flight going over the north pole to China would it not be kind of dangerous if they had to land and had to get out at the North pole? the cold air pressure is not too much for passengers inside?
- Which airline companies pay their future flight attendants during their training, and which airline companies are unionized? I also wanted to know which airline companies pay their future flight attendants during their training time, as well as which ones pay for their housing whether it be at a hotel somewhere or not. And which airline companies pay their flight attendants the best and treat their employees the best?
- Are American Airlines carry on restrictions exact? Or linear? I saw online that the restrictions are 22x14x9 but both of the carry ons I have at home are 21x15x9. Does it go by the total inches? Which would be 45 for both. Or will they give me problems because of the bigger width. I'd hate to have to pay the checking fee over an inch.
- What Do people who come to the airport with their own private car do to their Car when it's time to board the plane? Do they ship the car? Do they ship it to wherever they are going or what And if it remains in the parking lot then what car do they use to get to their destination after the plane lands at their destination
