How early they need to be at the airport for the United Airlines flight check in?
How early they need to be at the airport for the United Airlines flight check in?
1-2 hours
At least 1 to 2 hours ahead of your flight time
At least 2 hours for a domestic flight, at least 3 hours for an international one.
At least an hour and a half.
Depends on the airport, but 2 hours is needed during the summer since there are many people traveling and the lines at many of the airports are long.
Depends on wher "they" are travel to? Domestic travel it is recommended 90mins to 2 hours, international 3 hours is recommended. Factor in traffic in reaching the airport parking if dropping off and getting to the terminal.
You need to be at the gate in time to board your flight.
You can aim at being the last on board and might make it or miss it.
MOST get to the Airport check in place about 2 hours before departure for a Domestic flight.3 hours for an International flight.
In some situations as little as 30 minutes is enough time. MOST need more time.
BUSY DAYS and times it is prudent to allow some extra time.Airports just like the roads have their congestion times.
They can have incidents that can delay the process. TOO BAD you are in line and miss your flight. YOU DO NOT get next flight out. You get next available seat.
As there are hundreds of Airports a little common sense. BIG AIRPORTS a little more time is prudent.
As you are new to flying allow some extra wandering around time to get where you need to go and do what you need to do.
The entrance Ramp to the parking lot is not the time place you measure. THE CHECK IN AREA.
YES it matters if the flight is Monday 8:00 AM Wednesday at 2:00PM or Friday at 6:00 PM
It matters how many other planes are taking off near yours.
Shall we all guess and give the universal time for every airport on the planet.
UNITED AIRLINES and many others recommend>> at least <<<2 hours before for a DOMESTIC flight more for International at least 3 hours the plane is larger and security screening a little more intense. Some days all goes well and you have a fast process. Some days it can be slow for many reasons not in the control of staff.
Seattle recently had an incident that affected Airports all over for a few hours.Disrupting plans and flights for tens of thousands
United Airlines does offer a site you can check for YOUR FLIGHT
WARNING look at the exceptions for the general rules for most flights,
You can speed up the process if you have NO LUGGAGE and check in online before getting to Airport.
NEWBIES take a little longer to do stuff.
The recommended times are to be at the airport two hours before scheduled departure time for a domestic flight, and three hours for an international flight.
Note: these are MINIMUM recommended times. It is always your responsibility to give yourself a reasonable amount of leeway for unexpected delays.
Note too that 'at the airport' means IN the queue at the check-in counter. It does NOT mean "being somewhere inside the airport but the traffic's pretty heavy and oh no I just missed the turn-off to the car park".
I promise you that it's ALWAYS better to sit over a coffee for an hour (or even two) because you got there too early, than to come racing up all red-faced and sweating just one minute after the gate closes.
2 hours! Think about it: You have to drive there, find a parking spot (which will take an eternity cause airport parking is like a maze), then you gotta go check in, go through security, and locate your gate. If there are long lines, this will take longer! It is WAY better to get their early than be late. I always arrive to my flights at least 2 or even more hours ahead of departure time.
Remember: Departure time means just that. It is the time your flight will DEPART! That is not the time they will begin boarding your flight. They start boarding flights 20-30 minutes before departure time and usually close boarding 10 minutes before the plane departs. So say if your flight is at 4:00pm, they'll begin boarding around 3:20pm and will close the gate at like 3:50pm. So you should arrive at the airport by at least 1:00pm.
A few hours, are you a weird o or not. Do you know english or not u sound like your and evil person from the holy land?!
