I checked in more luggage for my flight than I will end up bringing. Is this a problem?

I'm 16 and tomorrow I'm flying for the first time. As I'm going for a longer period of time when I was reserving my ticket (through WizzAir) I checked in extra luggage with the already provided free one - basically I checked in 1 extra cabin luggage + a small bag. However, it turned out that I will be bringing less than that after all. Will this be a problem at the airport check in? Should I let them know I'm not bringing any luggage on the cabin?

You are allowed to bring less than planned and paid for. Bringing more involves fees usually.

No, it won't be a problem. You don't have to let them know that you are not taking a carry on but I suggest you do, if it is a long flight. Otherwise, you will be rather bored. Perhaps, at least your phone, a tablet, laptop, camera? I wouldn't check any of those items.

Enjoy your trip. Don't worry. Nobody will reproach you for having paid more than you are using.

Take everything you need, including some medications if necessary.

Traveling with more things than those you may need is not convenient at all .During a long stay abroad, you may use local services just as locals do.

If you booked carry on and find your no longer taking it, there are no penalties. You won't be able to claim it back. You should ensure to take valuable items with you in the cabin.

No, you don't have to let them know at all, but if you paid, you will probably not get money back

They don't care if you're bringing less luggage in.

You can tell them, but they really don;t care about less baggage - only about more.
