Why does a green box always show up on my private part when I'm scanned at the airport?
Literally whenever I go to the airport and I go through the full body scanner I look at the screen that shows the outline of a body and a green box always shows up in my hoo-ha region. At first I thought it could've been the buttons on my skirt but regardless of buttons it always shows up. No one else I see go through has that. Is there a reason? It's getting really annoying lol
Well why don't you ask the security people? And how can you be sure nobody else has this? You can't possibly see everyone go through.
Or maybe everyone DOES get it, but only the person actually being screened can SEE it.
"… I go through the full body scanner I look at the screen…" No you don't! The screen is positioned so that the passenger going through the scanner or other passengers in the screening area can't see it. Only the operator can see what's on the screen.
That "box" is there for EVERYONE and is deliberately placed to not show the genital area. It is not special for you.
- Having had knee replacements I always get wanded at airports. If I have a global entry card, can I avoid this? I have a passport and global entry card, but still had bad experience at Chicago O'hare airport, having to be wanded and hand searched, very embarrassing for 80 year old woman. Should the global entry card have avoided this humiliation?
- Can my friend enter the international part of the airport on my layover so I can visit him? I have a 5 hour layover in fort lauderdale coming from out of the country and I want to visit my friend who lives there at the airport bar. Should I exit through customs or can he come in if he doesn't have a ticket anywhere?
- How early can I show up at airport? I've got a pretty unusual situation going on with my transportation to the airport. Flying standby, and also some issues with subway being down during ideal commute time. Is it okay to show up like 4 to 5 hours before the flight and sleep on the floor? Either pre TSA or preferablly post TSA? this is JFK international airport, NYC
- What Do people who come to the airport with their own private car do to their Car when it's time to board the plane? Do they ship the car? Do they ship it to wherever they are going or what And if it remains in the parking lot then what car do they use to get to their destination after the plane lands at their destination
