Does my plane ticket have to match with my ID Name?
I have two last names and I rarely ever go by my second last name that's why on my plane ticket I forgot to put my second last name. Will this be a problem at the airport?
Yes you will have a problem. You have 2 options. 1. Change your ID. Or 2. Bring the documentation as to why you have 2 last names, (marriage license, adoption, etc)
Yes, they need to match. The only problem caused is that you won't be able to fly.
Yep.
If you are flying Internationally then you need to get the name changed on your ticket to match your full legal name on your Passport. Depending on the airline and type of ticket, some airlines are more willing to do this however they may charge you.
If you are flying domestically within the US it would still be best to get your ticket changed to match your ID. However, if you can't you should be able to get through security with additional security checks. In that case I would plan on arriving at the airport at least 2 hours in advance to make sure you can be there in time to handle any extra delay.
Of course.
I'm assuming you traveling from or with the US
It is highly recommended that your boarding pass matches with your ID. For such situations, I usually use one of the two last names if it coincides between boarding pass and ID. However, Washington is becoming more strict regarding this.
Assuming your last names are hyphenated, i.e. Black-Dog, you need to use both names as princess your ID, if it's shown Black Dog, then you could use just Dog, but not just Black.
- How do I find dimensions that match the exact airline I'm traveling? I'm planning this europe trip to a bunch of places. During the trip, I use 3 different airlines. Of all of them, i calculated the smallest maximum luggage requirement for a carry on and a personal item. 21 x 15 x 7.8 15 x 11 x 3.9 Maybe i'm looking incorrectly, but for the life of me I can't find baggage online that has the requirements I need. Any advice on where to look, how to look, would be deeply appreciated.
- First and Middle name joined on plane ticket online? I'm a first time flyer. Someone purchased a plane ticket from Delta online, he gave me the confirmation code to log in as a guest and I did with my first and last name. I checked on the flight details that my first and middle name are joined together. Will that be a issue when I get to the airport to show my ID?
- SEQUENCE OF NAME ON AIRLINE TICKET My name is John Geo Smith. My passport Surname Smith My passport Given Name is John Geo My AIRLINE TICKET name is John Geo Smith Is this correct? Why do some people say last name is suppose to be first then first then middle? Such as Smith John Geo. @Aster Rhoids, just confirmed with airlines… You're wrong.
- Trying to get a plane ticket with Southwest Airlines. When trying to open an account it takes my name ok, but when it comes to the address,? It keeps telling me to enter a valid address. I did give them my correct address! I have tried Chrome, Firefox, and Bing all with the same results. I have tried this many times over two days with the same results. What gives?
