What if I will carry more than 10000$ at delhi airport. Then what will happen. Will I have to pay fine or they will confiscate my money?

They will TAKE it

WHY do you have it?
Customs Officials want to know you have it and WHY.

You can have as much money as you can carry. They just want to know how much.

Try to hide it and they discover it. That is different. They might fine you or just take it all thinking you are a criminal.

Warning Carrying large amounts of cash makes you a target for many thieves.

The regulations are that any amount of cash or negotiable currency over a certain limit (like 10,000 USD or Euros, it changes depending on the country) has to be declared as you bring it in or out of the country. You can have as much as you want, and it's fine as long as you declare it and can show a legitimate source if asked.

The penalties come in if you fail to declare the money. This can be as small as a warning all the way up to the seizure of the entire amount.

Cash over 5000 US dollars cash needs to be declared on arrival. A genuine reason for having it will be needed.

Unless you declare it as required it will be confiscated if found

Arriving at Delhi, or leaving from Delhi?

EDIT to add: Obviously it makes a difference.

Why would anyone carry $10,000 in cash, regardless of where they're going or what they're doing?
