Added (1). I had to miss my cruise because of a weather cancellation.

Added (2). This was just a severe thunderstorm. It's not like anything would happen if they took off.

Airport security questions?

I'm going travelling tomorrow and the most nervous passenger ever!
I have a few questions about airport security.

1) I came on my period yesterday and i wear a menstural cup, will the scanners pick it up and will i be ok to wear it?

2) will my bra with underwire set off the alarm

3) my jeans has a small buckle om the back right pocket will that be ok?

Sorry for all the questions, i've never been on a plane by myself before

How does an international layover at ATL airport work?

This is my first time having a layover on my way back from an international vacation. We're flying Aruba to ATL with a 1 hour 14 minute layover then ATL to MSP. How does this process work? We go through customs but will we have to recheck bags or go through security again?

Do foreign airports flying to the US have to follow TSA rules for flights going to the US?

I was flying from Amman, Jordan to Chicago, USA and when I was going through security I was told to keep my laptop and liquids in my bag. Keep my shoes, wallet, phone and watch on person as I went through the x-ray that revolves around your body.
Although it was convenient for me I did not feel entirely safe for the 12+ hour flight and later realized on the flight that I had a 7 ounce bottle of water that they did not even take away from me.
For next time I have booked my flight to have a transit in Doha, Qatar but I still feel like what the Amman airport is doing is wrong. Especially if I did not feel safe at all but was forced to take the flight because I had an important deadline to meet in the USA (which was luckily not the case for me)

I'm flying internationally for the first time and am in need of travel tips/advice?

I'm mostly looking for advice or tips or any knowledge on the airports/flight part of things. I've never been on a plane before.

How does checked baggage works, just like the system/routine of it? I've heard there's a apart of the airport you can't go to without a ticket, is the baggage claim before or after that (someone's picking me up from the airport when I land, so do I need to get my bag first or can I find them first).

How does security work? Is there anything I should know about that that'd be helpful or make it go quickly?

I've never been inside of an airport ;^^ So I have no idea what to expect or what to look for/how to navigate it.

I'd love any advice when it comes to getting a phone plan (mostly just need the internet) internationally. I'm staying for a little over 3 weeks. What's the cheapest option?

Is there any paperwork/IDs I may need? I know a passport and visa is needed. Is there anything else? I'm traveling from the US to Australia.

And basically anything else you think would be helpful or good to know would be greatly appreciated!
