Layover in Rome, What to do?

I have a layover in Rome (coming from Amsterdam to my home country). The layover is from 11:10 AM (landing) to 9:50 PM (takeoff).

First, I never had a layover in a flight, and want to check what is the routine? The luggage will be kept with the airline? After going down from the plane, should I directly proceed to checkout? What are the steps to leave the airport and come back again?

Second, how to go to the Vatican the fastest way from FCO Airport? Note that it will be on Easter Monday 2018. So I've read that by that time Vatican/Rome will be crowded.

Third, I want to check the Vatican and Rome (Trevi fountain, Panteon, etc.). So what's best to do? Go to Rome first then to the Vatican? Or Vatican first?

Last point, at what time should I go back to the airport? Knowing the the plane leaves at 9:50 PM.

What's the best way to travel from NY to NJ?

Okay so I live in upstate New York (Niskayuna to be exact) and I want to go to New Jersey for this convention thing. The drive there's two hours but I don't drive and my parents/friends/family won't drive me. I looked up flights from the Albany airport to NJ and they are literally $400+ For a less than 2 hour flight which is absurd. Is there a cheaper way I can get there? Would it be cheaper to go to NYC and go to JFK for a flight? It's so close so I feel like it's hard to find a flight there but I can't think of any other ways to travel. I really don't think a Lyft or Uber driver would want to take me that far and I'll feel bad for requesting such a thing. Let me know please

She was to be on a connecting flight from Havana, Cuba, through Panama, to POS, Trinidad and on airport wheelchair assisstance. All her necessary documents were with her.
The info gathered so far from Copa airline Staff on phone was that she refused to board the aircraft, became violent inside the plane, refused her seat, sat on the ramp and as a result, was taken back to Havana, cuba for deportation to where ever she might be coming from. Efforts to contact her through Copa Airline officials, were denied. Further questions were never answered.Right now, she has been in detention in Havana for 3days with no certified date of release.Nobody knows her conditions generally. What happens to my baggage in connecting flight?

I'm flying from Dubai to Bangkok via Mumbai from one airline operator and getting another immediately flight to go Cambodia (different flight operator)

Will this mean that I would have to go through Thailand immigration ( actually pay and get the visa on arrival to get the bags) just to recheck in to fly out to Cambodia?

Can you buy extra water on Malaysian airline flight?

Flying from Kuala Lumpar and there's a sercurity check before gate with liquid allowance restrictions. They serve 100ml cups through out flight but this is not enough for me. Oh yeah and I'm flying to London Heathrow are the restrictions different, as the flight where they had restrictions was a domestic transfer.

What to do when a flight gets cancelled twice?

I was supposed to fly home on thursday. Flight got cancelled and I was placed on the friday one. The friday one got cancelled and now I'm placed on the Saturday one. (Which I'm guessing will also be cancelled). It supposedly due to the "weather" but other airlines are coming in with out problems. And it is typical winter weather for my town. It's not even snowing, just cloudy. If they keep putting it off just because of the clouds then I will be here till March. What am I supposed to do at this point? I'm missing classes and work because of it.
