How long do airline pilots get to stay in one place? And are there laws stating that if a pilot flys over X hours they have to not fly again for Y amount of time?
The A330 has been proven to be unsafe to fly
Is a 1 Hour International Layover Enough on Turkish Airlines?
Added (1). We have a big trip coming up this year and our layovers on Turkish Airlines are all in Instanbul. Our entire string of flights are all on Turkish Airlines. Besides the flight possibly arriving late… Is there any other reason to worry about a 1 hour layover? Will we have to re check bags or do passport checks again before boarding our next flight?
Flight 1: JFK - IST - LHR
Flight 2: LHR - IST - ACC
Flight 3: ACC - IST - JFK
Added (2). I also assume we will have under an hour seeing that the other flight boards probably 30 mins or so before departure.
When airlines have merged in the past they've had to make concessions to get the federal government to approve the mergers. Southwest and airtran merged and SW has fortresses in Baltimore Chicago Houston and Dallas, with strong grip in orlando. Why didn't the government force southwest to give up gates in these airports? AA made huge concessions. I'm sure if jetblue wanted to merge with spirit the government would say no because of Fort Lauderdale for example, yet southwest is able to dominate airports to extremes. Opinions…
I have a flight booked from Dallas to go home to Puerto Rico nonstop on American. I checked online in the American Airlines entertainment website and it says personal device the plane is a Boeing 737-800… Will it actually work or not? I'm thinking it won't work for the entirety of the flight because most of the flight will be over the ocean. I flew to Dallas with Delta had a layover in Atlanta they had tvs, they had stream to device from ATL to DAL but that flight was mostly over land. Anyone experienced w/ AA on flights like this? Just want to make sure, if not I'll download some movies or something to keep me busy.
And what is being done to address the pilot shortage in the airline industry and in regional airlines because being a pilot requires a lot of training if the trend continues the next decade will pilotless planes happen because i really hate the idea of pilotless airplanes i know planes already fly themselves but the pilots are there just in case something goes wrong
Lots of passengers would not get in a plane without a pilot you always need a pilot in case something goes wrong
Same with autonomus cars you always need a human driver in case something goes wrong i know people want to get places faster but in a car without a driver in it it would ruin the fun of driving for some people and people don't want to givr up control to a machine
If people hate driving i would take a train or a bus to my workplace you always need to be in control of your vehicle in case something goes wrong and it is easier for hackers even if they design it well hackers will always find ways
Same with trucks buses you always need someone to be behind the wheel because you never know when something goes wrong
Which airline is better to fly from atlanta to newark? Delta or united airlines?
I'm traveling to New York via Greyhound bus and need to get to JFK airport from the bus station. I never been to New York. What would be the best way to get to terminal 1?
When you book a flight online for a round trip, what's first thing to do when you arrive at the airport? Do you have to print out a boarding pass?
